Starting with a clean slate and a new bikini!
Here we are at the start of yet another year. The gym is more crowded, time is more limited and life goes on as usual, or maybe not. I have no idea how long I have been on this site and going along with the life goes on as usual has kept me in the vicious cycle of my weight going up and coming down and going up and coming down. This year I am taking it a little easier than in the past due to the number and magnitude of injuries I sustained in 2009. I recently purchased a bikini as motivation ...
I recently purchased a bikini as motivation to eat healthy and get my workouts in. A few years ago I resolved not to make any New Years resolutions, this year I broke that. I have a horrible habit of making VERY snarky comments under my breath and this year I am trying to reduce that (not cut it out all together, because that would truly be setting me up for failure). As far as my weight goes, I am going to try not to focus to much on that, more on what shape I am in. I want to be able to go out in public in that bikini (and it isnt a little skimpy one) and be proud of the way I look. I will be running a few local races every month (as my still recovering injuries permit). After each race I will take a picture of me and will post it on here so I can be held accountable of my activities! Here is to a productive New Year! I have set the ticker at what should be 10% increments (80lbs is just to daunting to look at!) the first set of 10% is actually more, because my weight went up a little. Once I hit the increment I will add the next 10% on. Eventually it will show the fact I have lost 80 lbs, until then as long as I keep going down, we are good! Races: Rescue Run 5k - 1 Jan 10 Winter Series I Long Course (6.7 miles)- 9 Jan 10
