The Erzieherin always on the go!

Hi I am Samantha, I was born three months premature on a Native American reservation in Montana, I am half German & half Native American. I was born not breathing and hence left with a tiny limp in one of my legs but no damage whatsoever to my cognitive faculties. I am so grateful and therefore love to exercise most days! It's been awesome to be part of Sparkpeople for almost 4 years now.

I am a 30 years old and an Erzieherin (or qualified Kindergarten teacher) in Essen Germany---I work with bilingual children, some of whom are also in a Special Education program. This job literally has me on my feet all day and is full of all the challenges one can imagine working with children/families in an extremely bureaucratic/work obsessed society :) My work keeps me alert and Sparkpeople keeps me accountable!

My Goals:
Be 90% vegan up until weight loss goal is met this year. Then perhaps 100%.

Finally get to to goal within the next couple of months, re-analyse what comes next (including surgery.)

Try to get my troublesome Native American belly flat without surgery (though I am considering it.)

I am a size 12 pants or smaller (USA) and when I go back to the USA for Brother's wedding in October would like to be few sizes down---not sure what I am at the moment, likely less than 12, so this will be a great surprise with hard work :) European sizing is all messed up---I won't even bother.

Deal with work related stress productively.

Get my *academic* German up to point where I can take the teachers examination in one year's time.

Be a really healthy bride for one very lucky German guy :)

Reward: When I finally get to 150 I will order a Vegan Chocolate Shakeology sample. When I meet goal I will order a bag!

My Program:
.Turbo Fire 3x-5x a week.
.Brazil Butt lift 3x-5x a week.
. Precor 3-6x a week (at BF's house)

I walk constantly, that's the good thing about living and working in Western Europe. We rely a lot less on cars and are always running for trains, buses and trams.. As a Kindergarten teacher I am constantly on my feet and so busy sometimes I forget to eat (which is not good, I know)

I am a dedicated, but novice teacher you can read about that here:

Whatever it is you set out to do, whatever goal you seek to achieve, push yourself to do just a little bit more. just one degree more. And more often than not, that 'one-degree-more' attitude will mean huge successes in your life.

Hi Samantha,

You have a great name...it is soo cool you are living abroad in Russia, How do you like it?

I was checking out your taste in music and we have the same taste in music which is awesome....I will have to check out birds of Tokyo never head of them....

I was lucky enough to get to see the Foo Fighters in concert in Octover of 2011 for free..by bother-in-law got tickets from his girlfriend who works at ticketmaster. The concert was amazing...

Prior to that I hadn't been to a concert since the late 80s-early 90s ......I was also lucky enough to see such bands as New Order, Depeche Mode, Jane's Addiction, Elvis Costello, Neitzer Ebb, Thomas Dolby, Siouxie and the Banshees, the B-52s, the Sugarcubes, Pop Will Eat Itself...and others...those were fun times in my youth.....still love music though....

One of my absolute favorite bands is Dead Can Dance, they released a new album in 2012 called Anastasis..it is amazing..

Anyway I digress....just wanted to say hi and thank you for adding me as a friend...

Really looking forward to our journey together...we are at the same weight...and I know we will make it to 145...Whoo Hoo...
