E: my blog on bingeing: You didn't think of it before because there is SO MUCH STATIC out there about how to deal with overeating. The diet gurus and industry just don't want to admit that each of their solutions works for only the exceptions, and the public wants speed and ease, so the industry tries to deliver.

Just remember to be eating good, delicious meals for a good long while ( a few months) of decreased bingeing before you try to reduce meal sizes.

And if stress, anxiety, or sadness play a role for you-they don't always-, try to regard them as separate issues because they are! Stress doesn't make us eat. It makes us WANT to eat. Not giving in, eating good meals, and using other stressbusters are the best one-two-three punches. They each build on the other. But you have to keep chipping away at them- a day or a few hours at a time.

I'm on your side!

Thank you for your sweet comments on my pottery. Most of all the enjoyment of the process is really giving me relief from stress. I rarely go to sugar for stress relief on the days I'm at the studio. This three week break between classes, with the studio closed has gotten me into trouble with sugar. But I bought some clay to play with at home doing "hand-building" Making birdbaths since almost everyone wants one. emoticon
