As the weather becomes warmer, I am eagerly anticipating the activities that I will be able to do outside. I am at the point where I miss the gardening and lawn mowing. Who would have thought that I would miss work? A season of very cold weather, and being stuck inside and inactive, has made me yearn for outside activities.
Now as we are in February, with Spring not far away, I am anticipating the growing season, and am starting to plan what I shall plant in our garden. When we step back, and look at the big picture, our lives are much the same as that garden. We have times when we have little activity... times when we are not growing, followed by growth spurts of various dimensions.
Some growth spurts in the garden and in our lives are huge, while other growth spurts are barely noticed at all. With a tomato plant, it will grow a lot early on, and then slow down, and not seem to grow much.
Have you noticed that when it is in the slow growth period... that is when it starts to produce it's fruit? It is often the same for us. It is when we are seemingly not growing much, that we make the biggest discoveries or have the biggest impact on things around us.
So... if you feel that you are not getting much accomplished in your journey to be healthy, remember the tomato plant. Don't give up and quit. As we would feed the tomato plant, feed your life... feed your soul with things that will help you on your journey to be healthy.
