So I have been doing 45 to 60 mins a day of walking. I try to do 15 - 20 min walks 3 times a day. I get up at 630 am and either walk or do elliptical and then on remote days I do I do my 1.1 mile walk (takes me 23 mins now) before lunch and again around 2 or 3. If Im at work I have a little bit longer distance and do that the same times. However like today it was pouring all day so I did my normal morning walk and a short 10 min walk inside at lunchtime and with a couple up and down stairs and then did my normal walk after dinner. However I prefer to have it all done before dinner... So my new menu is really just eating fewer calories - around 1400. I was eating more but I was not loosing anything using the modified calorie range adjusted for exercise. I have been having oikos yogurt with 2 Belvita breakfast cookies (a serving is 4 cookies) and then lunch with some kind of meat, plus a vegetable and a Dole fruit cup. Dinner a normal serving of meat 3 -4 oz, plus vegetable and fruit and a small serving of starch. afternoon and evening snack - 1 belvita cookie and fruit. Anyway the Belvita cookies are very good and have the whole grain designation.... I got my bike computer today so I can accurately measure how fast I am riding cause the tracker uses generic cycle event and I am trying to track fitness as accurate as I can...
I figured the fitbit might have different requirments.....LOL. I am trying to walk or use the elliptical 3 times a day for 15 or 20 mins. I am not doing so well with the eating but I think the problem might be because of the different way it calcs what you can eat. So I think I need to keep in my calorie range without counting the exercise but am down 1 lb, baby steps. Feel better!
Hi Hope you are feeling better by now. I am still congested too but getting better slowly.... I guess if there is a difference between your fit bit and tracker, you might need to calibrate your tracker. I have noticed you have alot more fitness minutes for the month than I do and I have been doing what I consider alot. Does your fit bit track fitness minutes differently too? Cause it doesnt count on the tracker unless it is 10 mins or more. Its all so confusing. I added a bike ride this weekend but I have no idea how fast I am going or how far so I dont know how to reclass it. I ordered a computer speedometer for the bike so I can get accurate readings when I ride....should be here Thursday. But i have been doing real well with my minutes and getting exercise in each day.
Glad the shoes help. I know I don't usually wear sneakers either at home so when summer gets here I may have to find some alternative footwear - cant wear sneakers during the hot summer... Did all my steps today, (yay) and ate pretty good too only nighttime snack left and since I'm a little low on protein I think it will be turkey with some fruit. lol. I m trying to take things a little slow.
