The doctor seems to think because Bob is over 300 lbs, then by cutting his calories down to 1200 a day as well as sodium down to 2000 grams, then he should be averaging at least a pound a day. Since he lost 10 lbs of that while in the hospital, he's actually only lost 11 pounds in 3 weeks. But that's still almost 4 lbs a week. I'm very proud of his progress even though he still feels I'm trying to starve him to death. Believe me, he's far from starving.
