The Fabulous Fifties

I am 55 and time to get in shape and off the meds. UPDATE. It has been 1 and half years since my retirement and I am doing great. I had lost 39 pounds and gained back 16 pounds. I reset my weight loss ticker in January and have lost 8 pounds since then. I have added strength training to my work outs and can feel the difference. The only med I take is metformin and I hope to get off that soon. My A1C is now at 5.3. It was nice to retire, but I am actively pursing part time employment. ...

My Goals:
My goal is to lose 50 more pounds and to be physically fit by exercising a minimus of 5 days a week. I will devote more time to my self improvement goals.

My Program:
My exercise time will be any time I find. I will record every bite that goes into my mouth.

Personal Information:
I am from Schoolcraft, Michigan. I recently retired from a job where I monitored things and did a lot of sitting. I worked a lot of night time overtime. My kids are going to college at Adrian and Western and I have more time than ever to devote to my health goals.

Other Information:
I love to read books and magazines. I enjoy reading web sites that deal with health and nutrition. I bought a bike this summer and love riding around the country side,
