I am trying to lose just a few pounds but really want to eat healthier and be more toned. My time is limited to do any "serious" exercise program, but I love walking and do it whenever possible. I love being able to use the nutrition and cardio tracker and the articles that are available on the site.

I am still trying to lose those few pounds, but I know I am losing inches and my head knows that tones muscle weighs more than fat--now I just need to believe it!!!

I enjoy walking to help me stay in shape and I feel I am healthier than I have been in years (since late teens). I love this site even for the little bit that I do with it. SparkPeople ROCKS!!!!

Walk daily--I do 10,000 plus steps whenever possible--makes me feel good

Personal Information:
I am an elementary school librarian and want to instill a love of reading in my students. I read LOTS of children's books. UPDATE---in Jan 2011 was told that all the elementary librarians would be eliminated, so I was assigned a 4th grade teaching position in the same school. Then the corp. messed up and ended up putting an unassigned librarian in my building for a year. SO, I have to watch someone else change the library that I built in 29 years. Been a rough year, so far, BUT----I love being back in the classroom, except for the state stuff we have to do :-(

I like doing crafts, especially cross-stitch, crocheting, knitting and bead work.

    Thanks for the Spark goodie! I taught second for six years, third for one, and then looped with them to fourth grade where I've been ever since. Librarians are the best! I'm always encouraging my fourth graders to get to know their town librarians! :O)

    I am sorry to hear you are having nightmares at night that is keeping you awake.

    Are you eating something sweet or dinner to late? Or watching movies to close to bed time?

    I would use the last hour to wind down and do nothing and relax.

    I would see your doctor and see if he can help you out. You may need to take something to help you sleep?

    I hope things get better and that you can have a good night sleep.
