Mary - I think some "docs" have their head buried really, really deep in the sand (or another part of their anatomy)! The sad thing is that thousands and thousands of diabetics never learn that THEY ARE IN CONTROL of their disease. It's not the doctor who loses limbs, eyesight, kidneys, brain; it's us if we don't do our own homework.
apparently some diabetics go to docs who have only had 15 minutes in the subject of blood sugar control when they first started med school wowee on what some think are ok numbers for sure lol the lady mary 2047 days ago

Sarah My DH is living with macular degeneration. He was told to use Preservision by his Eye Dr. We were told his macular degeneration id of the dry kind and if it changes to wet there is a surgery they can do, I was curious about the following paragraph.
If you do not take vitamins specifically for eye health, start. If you have dry macular degeneration supplements the retina specialist or eye clinic will tell you to take are the only thing that has the chance of slowing down the progression of the disease.
It appears you refer to" Dry macular degeneration supplements." We have not heard about these yet what are they please. I am hoping Preservision is one of them. Pat in Maine. 2106 days ago
