I am a 63 year old retired teacher. I live in Moncton N B CANADA.I have always been interested in exercise and belonged to weight watchers when I was working but stopped when I retired. I seem to be less active now because I have arthritis and often am in pain. I try to be positive but sometimex I find it hard to get up. I do like using this program but I am not very good at posting or tracking yet but I will keep trying. I can't get a photo on here does anyone have advice on how to do it? ...

Thanks for the kind words. I too thought a pound a week was doable but it isn't working that way. I can go down a pound or so and in a couple of weeks it's back. Today has been a really depressing day and I have accomplished nothing. I do watch my calories but I have cheated and I think I have to get back into more cardio besides the treadmill. I had lost 28 pounds 2 yrs ago on Medifast and then I blew it after the Holiday's with all the leftover junk and when I'm down I eat but not today....I slept instead. Tomorrow is a NEW day and I will get back on track. Yes, it would be nice to have a Spark Buddy to keep each other on track.

On the 50+ Team we have a home page. There are categories for the different threads you can write on with others. Under the Motivation Section you will see our FINE TUNING CHALLENGE.
It is for those who know that things change and fine tuning is a personal pledge we adjust from time to time. I'm interested in getting my scale down 10 pounds, and keeping aware of my steps and my calories.
Browse all of our options and welcome to our Team.

I'm a 53 year old teacher. I also have arthritis. I had one hip replacement 19 months ago. Swimming is good. See if your Dr will set you up with a good physical therapist to get you started. Good luck and keep moving.
