I am a 63 year old retired teacher. I live in Moncton N B CANADA.I have always been interested in exercise and belonged to weight watchers when I was working but stopped when I retired. I seem to be less active now because I have arthritis and often am in pain. I try to be positive but sometimex I find it hard to get up. I do like using this program but I am not very good at posting or tracking yet but I will keep trying. I can't get a photo on here does anyone have advice on how to do it? ...

ColleenConquers changed her name to Nevr_A_Quitter ... did the 'mostly' conquered part hopefully, no now it is time for a name that fits where i wanna be now and for the rest of my time here, and that is Nevr_A_Quitter, and that i stay and maintain this new lifestyle forever !! so now i wanna be Nevr_A_Quitter .. hope you are having a wonderful and spark'tacular year !! hugs !! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Thanks for the kind words. I too thought a pound a week was doable but it isn't working that way. I can go down a pound or so and in a couple of weeks it's back. Today has been a really depressing day and I have accomplished nothing. I do watch my calories but I have cheated and I think I have to get back into more cardio besides the treadmill. I had lost 28 pounds 2 yrs ago on Medifast and then I blew it after the Holiday's with all the leftover junk and when I'm down I eat but not today....I slept instead. Tomorrow is a NEW day and I will get back on track. Yes, it would be nice to have a Spark Buddy to keep each other on track.
