Time to Finish What I've Started

I was here once before and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I plateaued and life drew me and my focus away. I'm back, ready to commit to finishing what I have been working on for a very long time. I have maintained the bulk of my weight loss and kept most of the healthy lifestyle choices. I am recovering from recent knee replacement and easing back into a more active life.

Regarding the biking, once you can get on a path, you are basically set here in Minneapolis, because everything is connected. I try to use Google Maps to find the trails and connections before I head out if I am trying something new. Sometimes it takes a couple tries to figure everything out. Also, I'm really lucky that I live 2 blocks from Lake Nokomis, so I can get on the paths really quickly. I hate riding on the roads. I usually either circle the lakes since they are all connected, or take Minnehaha Creek to the Falls and do the West River Road trail north from there. This is is the first year I added Lake of the Isles to my lakes path, and it's also the first year that I used the Cedar Lake Trail to loop the city via the river and lakes. The Midtown Greenway is also a great option if you need to cut the ride a little bit shorter. Mmmm, I really love biking in our city!!!

"Three of the most powerful words in the English language are 'I AM RESPONSIBLE.' It's tough to do, but when the day comes that you can say those words, believe them, and mean them, it will be the most liberating moment of your life. Taking responsibility for all of your results, for better or for worse, is taking back your power to create results in your life."
-Tom Venuto

I am so glad I was able to get you on that one. I wrote the post and said - Oh no! I wrote that on SAWYERPATTI's page - she will kill me if I don't mention the stairs!!! I hurriedly added that line in - knowing I would have made you proud emoticon

I do a lot of natural healing and other things along those lines - I'd love to learn more about your journey! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. My "Best NSV ever!" post is about how sick I was a few years ago and how many sensible, healthy changes got me healthy and without meds. ;-) I'm very grateful to naturopaths.
