    Beautiful home! Thanks for letting me know about the photo.

    I picked the book back up today. I'm on day 16 and I've been blogging about each day. Life got in my way too but I hope to be more consistent with it again. I'm learning a lot from the book. Knew a lot of what I've read already in it already too but love how she presents the information.

    I hope it's okay to say that I knew for years why I overate. It didn't make me not do it. It was only when I accepted that it didn't matter why I wanted to eat, I just wasn't going to unless it was during specific time windows (and with specific but rather generous-at first- limits) that change started to happen. We often don't really know why we want to eat. There are tons of reasons to want to eat. For those with patterns of overeating, it's more important to determine what the acceptable reasons are and to keep them few and simple. Slim cultures do it very simply. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner and usually only one of those meals of any real size but delicious food at each one. Almost no snacking and very little sweetened food. They learn it from birth. I wasn't actually that far off growing up. Hating my body and believing dieting was the only way to bring my eating in line is when the raging overeating happened. It took giving up the idea of being on a diet and resolving to wean myself off my overeating habits and into a lifestyle based on what had worked for whole cultures.
