My Beat Cancer Plan

Hi, I'm 66 years old and have had lupus since I was 9. Along the way I have added fibro, asthma, osteoarthritis, IBS, anticardiolipin antibody syndrome, and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (I'm in treatment for relapse). I stay positive with help from God and my friends. I love to swim and swim for 1-1.5 hours 3-5 times a week at my local Y. I don't hurt in the water. My Goals:
My goals are to lose 50 pounds and learn to eat healthy and learn to exercise out of the water....to be more healthy and beat cancer. I want to make friends with similar goals.

My Program:
I am following the Spark diet and trying out the recommended exercise of the day..I have severe osteoarthritis so many are difficult. I swim and do resistance exercises (aquatics) 3-5 times a week when I am not in a "flare".

Personal Information:
I am from Simpsonville, SC (near Greenville). I am 64, have 2 adult sons and a beautiful 7 year old granddaughter and a 10 year old Korat (non allergic cat from Thailand). My husband has rheumatoid arthritis.

Other Information:
I love to make things....sew( I make tons of Barbie and baby doll clothes and accessories) and quilt. I also love to read mystery novels, esp. forensic novels. My favorite authors are Jonathan Kellerman, Sue Grafton, John Grisham, James Patterson, and Patricia Cornwell.

Wow, you are a fighter. Fighters find a way. I think you can find some gym-free routines. I found a copy on pintrest. IF YOU ONLY CAN FIT 8 minutes in, do it and try to fit in a second short spurt later, especially on those hassle errands days. You will feel better both emotionally, and eventually, physically.
