RE: "Good" food and "bad" food. What you've read is absolutely right. No food or food products are "bad"-rather there are a lot of foods that we'd be better off without. Nothing is really off limits in moderation. I have found telling myself that I COULD have something, but that I am allowed to choose not to, is much more helpful than restricting myself from having them.
If you have Netflix, watch "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead" and "Hungry for Change." Watch them with a grain of salt, of course. "Hungry for change" lost me when they were pushing more juicing than getting a healthy diet. I liked the other one better. Anyway-they both have some good information that has really turned on a lightbulb in my head, and I'm aiming to make much better choices now, not only for me but for my kids. However, I am not going to completely restrict the "sometimes" foods from them, because I don't want them to feel deprived and then go behind my back and binge like I used to.
