This is life...

Struggling to maintain a substantial loss. Living in South Korea, and though not happy to be here, learning to be happy and grateful for what I have and the potential I can create for myself.

Aside from a major injury, I believe that every weight loss issue/obstacle that exists... Emotional eater, slow metabolism, been overweight my whole life, a disease that fights me, a belly fat girl (so even when I lose, I still don't think my body looks great)... you get the idea...

My Goals:
First, to lose weight... but will do this through adding muscle and eating good, real foods (no 100 calorie snack packs for me)!

Calorie Cycling, Whole foods, varying my workouts, minding my own business/focusing on myself, positive thinking, visualization.

Hi Tara! I just saw you walked on the friend's feed and I got to thinking how I haven't talked to you forever it seems. How are you? Are you still in Korea? HI? Chicago? I've sure thought of you often. I'm 20# up now and still working at eating right and exercising all I can with a bum knee and the rest of my body riddled with Rheumatoid Arth. I still keep plugging along though and am trying to stop this vicious cycle I have of losing and then gaining back. I hate it and yet I'm the one in control! Take care and let me know how you are, ok?

Wow Korea! That must be quite an adventure for you for sure. I suppose it's because your DH is in the military there? It sure super good that you're maintaining anyway. I sure wish that I was! Have to have this Prednisone though for the pain I have with RA, so that's the way the ball bounces and I'll just try to do my best every day! Too bad you're not by my side to keep me on the straight and narrow path to no straying off to the side! emoticon Take care and we'll keep in touch. Hugs to you, Karen

Hi Tara! I've been thinking of you so much and thought I'd come and see how you're doing. It's been so long it seems! I'm still plugging along and not giving up, even though I go from a 10-15# gain from my lowest here on SP! Errr! I've just now joined up with the low-carb team and the South Beach team, etc. I know that when I've gone low-carb before, I've lost weight and felt better, it's just a matter of doing it. I love to eat everything! I know that with the diabetes in my family, I need to have a good healthy less carb way of eating, and I'll be healthier. Take care, with hugs, Karen emoticon

Thank you for making me one of your friends. I also don't come here too often , the days just go flying by and even me I am busy I don't know why .
