I found SP while looking for a nutrition calculator and was amazed and grateful to discover that it's so much more than that.

I know from experience that making small, consistent positive changes snowballs into an avalanche of change. I didn't know that I would need to pay attention to every day if I wanted to hang on to the benefits of those changes. I didn't know that nothing is or can be allowed to be more important than health. Not studying. Not chores. Not even family ...

But I am learning that now.

Thanks for the goodie!

Yeah, mindful--anything!--is hard. Sparks talks a lot of mindful eating, because mindless eating is a big problem a lot of people struggle with, but I think it's important to work on mindfulness in other areas. For example, I know that I spent hours today on facebook (got caught up in a political debate, ugh.) I could have used that time more productively. Why didn't I? Laziness? Pain? Disinterest/lack of motivation? Mindfulness is *hard* but if I don't want to spend hours every day on facebook, knowing why/how I got sucked into that conversation is necessary so I can avoid it.. and when I do spend time on Facebook, it's my choice--and controlled.
