I found SP while looking for a nutrition calculator. I'd lost 25 pounds without much of an idea about what I was doing. I was amazed and grateful to discover that Sparkpeople is so much more than a calorie tracker.

I know from experience that making small, consistent positive changes snowballs into an avalanche of change. I didn't know that I would need to pay attention to every day if I wanted to hang on to the benefits of those changes. I didn't know that nothing is or can be allowed to be more important than health. Not studying. Not chores. Not even family demands.

But I am learning that now.

My Goals:
SHORT-TERM
Lose one pound each week.

Run three times per week... and do at least (preferably 30) minutes of exercise on the other days.

LONG-TERM
*Lose 40 pounds

I'm from Seattle Washington and I LOVE to hike. Love, love, love to hike!


Other Information:
I have juvenile diabetes which puts an extra wrinkle into exercise, like checking blood sugar in the middle of a long run and carrying juice and a glucometer everywhere. Oh yes, an occasionally crashing.

I'm midway through nursing school where I am probably the oldest nursing student ever.

    Hi sweetie....actually the co was supposed to be a TBSP but a tbsp is 14 g and I only do 8-9 and the co is some kind of medium chain density something or other!

    It works for me and has for a long time until I got sloppy about it and really paid for it too! emoticon
