My Goals:
Since hitting my thirties and having two children in quick succession I've decided it's now or never to get healthy. I want to lose 20 (or maybe 27) pounds but I also want to learn how to eat well to stay well and to keep my family healthy.

My Program:
I am tracking everything and trying to stay within my SparkPeople recommendations every day as well as doing cardiovascular and strength training - even 10 minutes strength training a day seems to be helping!

My first job on leaving school was for Seismograph Services in Keston in the Marine data Processing dept looking at oil exploration surveys. I met my Dh there he is a Geophysicist - SSL got taken over by Schlumberger and eventually DH was made redundant in 2003 ( when no new staff are taken on and 10% gets cut away several times and then 50% got cut and then 50% again your time comes!) so we moved down here and he retrained as a teacher. We still have lots of friends in the business though. That's why I asked what field are you in?

Thanks for reading my blog. I was quite surprised that it was made a featured blog of the week. That day was an eye opener for me, when I discovered I didn't have to be perfect - just make better choices some of the time! Be blessed!

Hi - saw your question about applesauce on the desert thread. Applesauce is just cooked down apples. Peel, core, chop, cook on low heat - maybe adding the tiniest bit of water to get them started. If you cook them waaaay down thick, its called apple butter which is way yummy! Not all varieties are good for this - Delicious Apples don't cook well, but any apple recommending for cooking will work. Ta!
