Update - I had to have surgery again four weeks ago and have been back in physio for two weeks. Its going well but its going to be a long slow process to get my shoulder back to even being able to support its own weight let alone to actually do stuff. but I'm here and I'm fighting and I have no intention of putting on weight through the next 6 -12 months! here's hoping physio works better than last time and I can start to exercise properly again in a few months!

I had surgery on my shoulder exactly a year ago and I have been unable to exercise since then due to the pain and generally having a muscle in the wrong place! I have put on 3 stone in that time and I am desperate to loose it again.... I need to be more active and stop comfort eating the vicious circle we all know I'm sure!
I'm married to a RAF nurse and want to be fit and healthy so that I dont feel like I embarrass her when we go out - My pic is what I want to look like again!

Here's to being happy and healthy! :)

Hi there. Popcorn is dead easy. I buy plain 'Popping Corn' from the supermarket. Its usually near lentils, chickpeas and so on where I shop.

You just need a pan with a lid - a glass lid is better but not essential. Put a little oil in the pan and heat it up on the hob. Add about 1/2 cup of corn per serving, put the lid on quick and leave it on until the popping stops - a couple of minutes or so - giving it a shake now and then.

That's it. Serve it however you like.

Good luck!

I still go on it to keep in touch with people I met when I worked in an american summer camp...that's about it! What are your plans this easter? I'm going back to my mums for the weekend, I have asked not to be given easter eggs, but we'll see how far that goes....
