Getting back to health on the way back to the U.S.

I am a Peace Corps Volunteer living in Mozambique, Africa. I successfully used Spark People to lose over 30 pounds and build a healthy lifestyle in 2009-2010. My choices in the past couple of years have left me prioritizing rich foods and beers with friends and very little exercise and so I gained all the weight back. I have come to suspect that my lack of planning for life after my goal weight is in part what has led me back to this place.

Now, as I look forward to the next 9 ...

Now, as I look forward to the next 9 months and prepare to head back to the States I am looking to get my health back. This time, I am focusing on creating a lifestyle that I can sustain after the weight loss and being more patient and flexible and realistic with myself.

I'm excited to be back on Spark People and looking forward to the journey, adventure and challenge.

Personal Information:
Originally from Boise, Idaho but lived in Olympia, WA for 12 years. I was an over-worked and over-stressed political analyst for the WA State Legislature but now I live in Inhambane City, Mozambique near the beautiful Indian Ocean Tofo Beach. I am a Peace Corps Volunteer working as a Community Health Promoter and get do exciting community sustainability, health and agricultural development work.

Decisions:
D - Decide on an action plan.

LESSONS FROM A SNOWMAN

It's okay if you're a little bottom heavy.
