I've struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember. I was never one of those people who was severely overweight but I've always been the chubby friend, "pleasantly plump", and even fluffy. When I was fourteen I battled with a bought of anorexia and, while I lost about twenty five pounds, I gained all the weight back after I stopped dieting. For the first time in my life I am eating properly, cleaning the house, waking up after eight hours of sleep(before noon, a huge feat). My emotions and eczema are under control and I am making progress everyday. It is still hard and everyday is a struggle to better myself. I don't necessarily have much more to lose(as I am making this half way through my journey)but I would love to be slender and a proper size for my five foot frame. I am only twenty years old and have my whole life ahead of me. I spent my teens being uncomfortable and out of shape while my friends wore shorts and bikinis. I want to be able to wear a bikini in my twenties and be truly healthy and happy.

We all deserve to be happy and feel beautiful. I want to help others reach their goals and realize this and I would love to one day be a nutritionist or personal trainer.

My Goals:
I'd love to be able to wear a bikini before my 21st birthday. Vain, I know, but there it is.

Running has also always seemed kinda scary so I would love to someday be able to run for more than just a minute. I haven't quite tackled that yet.

-to be fit
-to be toned
-to have at least close to a flat stomach
-to eat healthy most of the time
-to love myself!

My Program:
I try to walk at least half an hour everyday(not including what I do in the house. I have always loved walking). I weight train with the Biggest Loser Sculpting DVD three days a week and do cardio on alternating days. For cardio I either do the Biggest Loser Cardio DVD or I do the elliptical.

Personal Information:

Other Information:
Being five foot tall and having a small frame means I have to weigh very little to look like someone who is average height. It's difficult to accept and explain to others but it's my lot.

I'm a 5'0" girl from Middle Tennessee and I totally commiserate with you. I've had body image issues for a long, long time and I know how tough it can be to weigh a healthy 130 lbs. when you have a small ass frame. :) Last summer I was up to 140 and I've lost 10 since then... And another 5 since joining the site! Here's to hoping we both meet our little-girl goals!!!

Hi! I guess it really depends on the bean. I know some are lower than this, but a serving of lentils (1/4 c dry) has 120 cal, 11 g or fiber and 10 g of protein. So for an equal amount of calories from a whole grain pasta, you are getting twice the fiber and protein with lentils. : ) I guess I never really thought about the carbs because I am generally kinda low in carbs. Maybe it's because I always try to choose high-fiber foods? I don't know, I feel like I'm constantly eating fruit or oatmeal or potatoes or pasta or something people consider a "high carb food". (or even cookies)

Anyway, thanks for the comment! How are you doing? Are you getting nice weather?

Crazy, right? Maybe it was all those weeks of hard work and no results catching up to me? Or maybe my other med was making me retain fluids or slowing down my metabolism.... What ever it was, I hope the rest of the weight falls off fairly quickly. : )
