losing it 1lb at a time......

I joined WW in Oct of 2011 and have lost 70lbs. I relearned how to eat and how I think about food. I felt it was time to venture out of the points system at the beginning of this year and try something new. Its been a hard trasition but I am going to enjoy the next leg of my journey!

My Goals:
My goals are more fitnessed based. When I weighed 300lbs I couldnt walk a mile or climb stairs without difficulty. Now I am doing 5ks! So as long as I keep up pushing myself to do more physically the weight will (hopefully) continue to fall off 1lb at a time!

My Program:
I love group fitness classes at the gym! Spin, step, zumba, body pump!

Personal Information:
Living in sunny Florida where the heat and humidity during summer months forces me to stay indoors where it is airconditioned

Other Information:
I am human, I make mistakes, I am human I make mistakes..........I have to repeat this to myself all the time. Sometimes its the only thing that keeps me getting back up when I have a set back!

Thanks for commenting on my "Pity Party" blog. I appreciate the support and encouragement. I got lots of great feedback and it has given me plenty to think about and consider. One thing I know is that I will never give up on trying to reach my goal, even if I have to change my approach. Have a great day!

"Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark.
In the hopeless swamps of the not quite, the not yet, and the not at all,
do not let the hero in your soul perish and leave only frustration for the life you deserved, but never have been able to reach.
The world you desire can be won, it exists, it is real, it is possible, it is yours."

“The difference between stepping stones and stumbling blocks is not in the event itself but how you think about it and what you do after it.
Every failure and setback can become part of your success or an excuse for quitting or failing.
People who develop the discipline of positivity are both happier and more successful."

"Part of abandoning the all-or-nothing mentality is allowing yourself room for setbacks.
We are bound to have lapses on the road to health and wellness, but it is critical that we learn how to handle small failures positively so that we can minimize their long-term destructive effects.
One setback is one setback—it is not the end of the world, nor is it the end of your journey toward a better you.”

"It is rewarding to find someone you like, but it is essential to like yourself.
It is quickening to recognize that someone is a good and decent human being, but it is indispensable to view yourself as acceptable.
It is a delight to discover people who are worthy of respect and admiration and love, but it is vital to believe yourself deserving of these things."

"My invitation to you is to begin living every moment as though you are miraculous and deserve to live an extraordinary life.
Fake it if you must and keep faking it until it’s real to you. The gift you will be giving yourself is a lifelong journey of discovery, one that is infinite and infinitely rewarding. Begin the journey. Today. This moment. Now."

"If I had to select one quality, one personal characteristic that I regard as being most highly correlated with success, whatever the field, I would pick the trait of persistence. Determination.
The will to endure to the end, to get knocked down seventy times and get up off the floor saying. "Here comes number seventy-one!"
