I was diagnosed with Celiac disease 12 years ago. Unlike most celiacs I do not look anorexic. In fact I gained almost 40 pounds in a short amount of time. Celiac disease destroys the part of the intestine that absorbs nutrients, your body thinks it is starving to death. In my case, my theory is that because my body wasn't getting what it needed it held on to everything - hence the weight gain. I was hoping that following a strict gluten-free diet - which I have for many years - would kick my system back to normal, but that hasn't happened. So, here I am on SP to see what I can accomplish.

There just wasn't anyway we could get them to the shelter, but we have a very old and sturdy house, so we put them in the middle hallway and closed the doors. Poor little BeBop though is so scared of noise and had nothing to hide under. But when we got back inside and I opened the doors, they did hunker out and hid under the dining room table for a while, but by evening all was well as if nothing had happened.

Thank you so much for the blog comment and the goodie too. But most of all thanks for having such adorable kitties, I had to smile when I came to your page. Especially at Frisky, he looks like a little grumpbutt. LOL. I'm sure he's not though. Just that particular photo makes him look like a grumpbutt. emoticon
