I'm 49 years old and up until about 5 or 6 years ago, I fought with my weight most of my life. I've been a pretty healthy eater overall for quite some time. Although I was eating what I considered pretty healthy, I knew there was a lot of room for improvement. I started by avoiding highly processed food, then progressed to cutting out wheat, then dairy and finally going full on primal for my eating. I've only been doing this since Feb. 10, 2013, but I'm eating so much better and I feel really good. I haven't really had a problem switching over, maybe because I did it incremental steps. I do eat dairy, grass fed butter daily and cheese occasionally.

I'm a runner and run in Luna Sandals. As far as footwear for work and casual use, I only wear zero drop shoes, Vivobarefoot, Softstar shoes, Luna, Unshoes and Xero Shoes.

I'm married with 2 grown kids and one grandchild.

I'm not tracking food and exercise, but I'm doing well on both accounts.

Good morning! Thanks so much for your comment on my blog yesterday. I will check out that documentary - thanks for the info. I'm definitely interested in learning more about cholesterol considering my family history and my own struggles with it. Knowledge is power!

    Have a great day!

Thanks for your comment on my blog! My doctor told me to reduce saturated/trans fats and I'm thinking, well obviously thats not the case because I stay away from that stuff anyway! From your links, I guess my ratio is still within a good range. So thank you for sharing with me more sources and your perspectives!

Hi, thanks for commenting on my Freezeout blog. Hope you get a bib for Robie as well. Volunteering is a great idea; I may do that if I don't get in, at least then I'll have a better feel for it for next year.

Thanks for your comment on my blog. I thought a lot of my problems were just age. I'm 49 also. Turned out maybe none of them were or at least most of them weren't.

Good luck on your half on Saturday. Weather should be great; I'm running Ste Chapelle on Sunday!
