A New Me!

Hi, all. I have created this page as a personal motivator to lose some pounds! Okay... a lot of pounds. I think I reached a low point in life a few months ago when my husband and I welcomed a baby boy into our family 2 months premature while saying good-bye forever to his twin. TTTS or twin to twin transfusion syndrome took my baby boys life and tried to take our survivor's, too. Traveling back and forth to NICU everyday increased my unhealthy eating habits while battling slight depression ...
Hi, all. I have created this page as a personal motivator to lose some pounds! Okay... a lot of pounds. I think I reached a low point in life a few months ago when my husband and I welcomed a baby boy into our family 2 months premature while saying good-bye forever to his twin. TTTS or twin to twin transfusion syndrome took my baby boys life and tried to take our survivor's, too. Traveling back and forth to NICU everyday increased my unhealthy eating habits while battling slight depression over child loss and balancing being a mom to my 10-year old and wife to my husband. This situation took so much away from me that I have made up my mind to no longer let it take my health. No excuses!! My son would want me to be happy...and healthy. Diabetes and high blood pressure runs in my family. I am determined that I will not be their victim. Here's to health and happiness.

My Goals:
To change my lifestyle to a healthier way of eating. To be able to look back and say not only did I change my body, but I also changed my habits.

**Get a full-body massage when I reach a healthy BMI!!! Maybe a ladies' SPA getaway. Oooh!



My Program:
*Not to weigh in weekly!!! The scale won't define me! Every 10 days and monthly will be acceptable.

*Exercise whenever I get a chance, but at least 30-60 minutes daily.

I read your secret of success about eating salads with your third graders. I eat with my students, too. I always bring a big salad loaded with vegetables and some kind of protein.

I like your secret not only for the organizational idea but also because you are being a great role model for your students. If our students see us eating healthy and telling them how great our lunch tastes hopefully some of them will make better food choices.
