About me

I'm hoping Spark People can help motivate me to re-establish healthy eating patterns. I had bulimia from about 2008-2010, at which point I was able to stop purging for good. I'm grateful and proud that I've been recovered from that particular cycle for more than 5 years. However, since then I've struggled with binge eating disorder and gained a total of 40-50 pounds. I'm grateful and proud that I've been recovered from that particular cycle for more than 5 years. However, since then I've struggled with binge eating disorder and gained a total of 40-50 pounds. In 2016 I'd like to get back into a healthy weight range, although I'm not just interested in losing weight but in feeling healthier and better about myself. My Goals:
I'd like to get back to the weight I was in summer 2012 (I weighed about 135 lbs). I've gained 30 pounds as a result of compulsive overeating, so losing weight is a matter of not falling back into self-destructive behavior.

My Program:
I eat plenty of fruits, veggies, beans, nuts, lentils, whole soy, and whole grains; drink lots of water; and eat healthy snacks in the afternoon and evening. I love walking, biking, hiking, swimming, and rock climbing.
