New Goal: Be as healthy as I can be

I have spent the last five years being sedentary and eating unhealthy foods due to illness and depression. But I'm ready to work on improving my physical condition and my mental outlook by exercising and eating better.

I have pulmonary fibrosis and the chronic autoimmune illness called Mixed Connective Tissue Disease and am on oxygen 24x7. I don't know if it is the illness or the powerful drugs they gave me to treat the illness that have caused me such distress, but I'm off the ...

My Goals:
1. To be able to walk around a Walmart or Target Superstore and not need an electric cart.
2. To lose 120 lbs.
3. To be able to go on vacation to CO.
4. Have lost a significant amount of weight by September, 2014 when my brother and SIL visit.

My Program:
Basically cutting back portions, cutting out junk, limiting sweets, lots of water.

I am exercising to improve my strength and stamina. Walking the dog and am going to try Isometrics. Just bought a book and video on it.

Personal Information:
I'm Sharon and I live in Iowa. I am married and have a black lab named Mavis.

Other Information:
I like Maya Angelou's saying that goes something like, "When you know better, you do better."
