I want to live a healthy, active life by making good food choices and working out 0n a regular basis. Life is short--we can treat ourselves well in the hopes to be able to enjoy our time here, or we can make poor choices that lead to poor health and live our days out in misery, sickness and pain. I am choosing to do all I can to be healthy and well! I hope you will too!
I am eating fresh fruits and veggies along with lean meats, beans, nuts and healthy grains. This time around, I am allowing everything--nothing is off-limits. I am allowing myself a half of a dessert once a week. Other times when I want a 'treat', I am eating things that are sweet but do not trigger me to binge. These things include Larabars, graham crackers, Greek key lime yogurt, sherbet, etc. This is not a diet, but a way to live healthy for a lifetime.
For exercise, I am doing cardio of some kind at least 4 times per week and I have begun to incorporate some strength training weekly. I am excited about the new beginning the Winter 20176 Challenge will bring to my efforts to regain my health!
