My Goals:
I want to live a healthy, active life by making good food choices and working out 0n a regular basis. Life is short--we can treat ourselves well in the hopes to be able to enjoy our time here, or we can make poor choices that lead to poor health and live our days out in misery, sickness and pain. I am choosing to do all I can to be healthy and well! I hope you will too!

My Program:
During the Winter 5% Challenge I am doing what I call my 'Victory Prescription'. For the most part, I am eating fresh fruits and veggies along with lean meats, beans, nuts and healthy grains. This time around, I am allowing everything--nothing is off-limits. I am allowing myself a half of a dessert once a week. Other times when I want a 'treat', I am eating things that are sweet but do not trigger me to binge. These things include Kind Bars, graham crackers, Greek key lime yogurt, sherbet, etc. This is not a diet, but a way to live healthy for a lifetime.
For exercise, I am doing cardio of some kind at least 4 times per week and I am going to FINALLY begin some strength training. I am excited about the new beginning this Challenge is bringing to my efforts to regain my health!

emoticon Sharon on doing so fabulous!!! This week my body isn't losing so far. I've been having tests,,,, so I'm not getting in enough calories. I'm hoping the weight won't go up,,,wanting to lose another lb. I CAN'T allow myself to feel stressed,,, when I'm my body goes CRAZY!!!

Tomorrow I find out if I have an infection to the bone in my foot. I sure hope NOT!!! I feel fine,,, my foot isn't hurting more than normal,,,,so yeah I'm thinking positive.

Thanks for the Sparkgoodie and congratulating me on my weight loss. Sparks is generous, I actually lost 3.8 and it rounded up to 4, but I was pleasantly surprised with that big of a number!
