Once and For All!

6/14/13 Day 1 - I've been overweight since the age of 11. I gained 25 pounds as a kid in the 5th grade when my parents divorced. 7 years of stress and unhappiness followed and overeating became a lifelong habit and way to cure stress and numb pain...so I thought. All along it only created more. Now I find myself at 52, at my highest weight ever. I need to do this for me first and for my wonderful family so I am healthy and there for them. I'm ready, I can do this...once and for all!

Update 7/29/13 - I've lost 15.2 pounds! Exciting!
Update 8/10/13 - 18.2 Slowly but surely!
Update 8/30/13 - 23 even!
Update 9/12/13 - 25.0, one quarter down!
Update 9/27/13 - 31.6 - Whoo Hoo, passed the 30 mark!
Update 10/4/13 - 33.2 - Worked hard for vacation
Update 1/15/14 - 20.0 - Our 30th wedding vacation in October took a toll; having trouble getting back on track.
Update 4/1 /14 - 18.2 - going backwards; this needs to be a change for a lifestyle!
Update 12/11/14 - I've regained everything back over the past year..ugh...BUT today I started a Biggest Loser Challenge. I hope this is the turnaround I need!!
Update 1/16/15 - I'm back on track and losing; it feels great!
Update 2/19/15 - I have lost 15.3 pounds and earned the title Biggest Loser on my BL challenge!

My Program:
I re-started Spark in June 2013. Right now I am just keeping my calories in range. I am TRYING incorporate exercise and am planning to hop on my treadmill now that I moved it to the new den and it won't be used as a closet anymore!!

My name is Teri ~ I live on the west coast of the state of Washington, in the beautiful Pacific NW. We live 30 miles from the beach and go at every opportunity, it's my favorite thing! I've been married to my wonderful DH 31 years and have two awesome kids, Dane 28 and Lindsay 24. I am truly blessed!

Other Information:
I love music, interior decorating, gardening, anything artistic and kitties!

I could watch DIY network and HGTV all day long!

I love going to concerts and go as often as I can.

Did I say I LOVE THE BEACH! :)

Thank you for your thoughts regarding my dad. He will be in the hospital at least until Saturday. Will depend on the test results from today. He will go to a Rehab facility after that for more skilled nursing care and thankfully I'd already been working on that and have the facility ready to work with him. Caseworker called from the hospital this morning so she is working with them as well. This time the rehab is only 3 minutes from the house instead of 20.

Oh my, I love this page of yours too, and the colors are gorgeous! Thanks for your support always, Teri, and for the usual boost in the arm too. I feel better today about the munchies and feel that I can stay away from them. Yesterday was digging into the Fritos bag and when I told my husband that I felt like such a failure, he said, "Oh well, you gotta do it once in a while too!" I just loved him for that and I know too, that we don't have to be perfect, but yet I know that I can't have too many of those kind of days, or I'll gain all the more! We both have been eating low-carb and he's so much better at it and has already lost 15# in a couple of weeks! Men, huh?! emoticon I made some really good healthy muffins this morning, so with one of them with no butter, will be a treat once in awhile. They're with bananas, applesauce, orange juice, walnuts, a few choc. chips. Full of goodness. I am still doing my knee rehab every day and feel just absolutely marvelous in that dept. I go up and down stairs many times in a day and do my stretches too until I feel the pull at 20 reps at a time. Do 20 squats and another 20 pull exercise, so I'm keeping it limber. At 12 weeks, I can get it down to 3x/day, so that will be a good break too! I'm wishing you the best too, overcoming the unhealthy munchies and all!! WooHoo! We rock!!
