Family is the most important thing in my life. My partner, Stacey, and I have been together for three years and are raising three wonderful children. We have two adorable dogs to round out the family. Stacey, the children, and the dogs are my true inspiration.

I started running in May of 2008. I trained for and finished my first half marathon on February 7, 2009. My children were so inspired that they have been asking to run the next one with me. My future goal is to run a full marathon in 2010. I try to run at least four days a week.

The pic of your Rott under the tree is so cute! I have a Rott, too. Well, she's part Rott, part German Shepherd and some Blue Heeler. In other words, she's a mess!!!

Thanks for the comments on my blog. My run in Tucson was so delightful, it's such fun to explore new and interesting runs. Plus, somehow, running in unfamiliar territory makes it more fun!

Thanks so much for the helpful info on my blog!!! I can't wait to start figuring out my individual protein needs. And, I'll definitely talk to my doctor before I start taking anything aside from my multivitamin! :-)

Thanks for your comment on my blog! It helps to know that others have put in the miles and are frustrated by the lack of progress on the scale. Good luck on your marathon training! I have a friend headed to TX in the next couple of weeks for a marathon. He's been training in our cold, miserable Wisconsin temps so maybe your cold snap will be to his advantage. I do hope it warms up there a little, through. Running in 18 degree temps is no fun anywhere! Again, thank you and I look forward to following your marathon journey!
