Sherry's Journey in 2011

Today begins another adventure in diet-land. However, today I intend to go forward and not turn back. A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.

I'm a hypothyroid, menopausal, sweets-loving chocoholic. This should be an interesting trip...

I agree. Exploring grief is not something I want to get into. I know I have experienced profound loss over the years. I try to shove it out of my mind - not embrace it. I hate August. A bad month for death anniversaries for me.

Don't you hate this muggy miserable heat??!! I'm sick of this already. Usually by this time we are getting some relief. Have you always lived in Indiana? I worry that this winter will be like last winter and it will drive me crazy.

Your poor dogs. It has been a horrible year for allergies. My doctor said it would be the worse we have ever seen and put me on Claritin every day before allergy season started and I'm still on it.

I'm sure the pool helps. I just have to sit inside in the air.

My dad is still living on his own too and doing about as well. I seldom hear from him as he doesn't want me to know how bad he's doing.

My hubby is sick of working too.

You are so lucky to have an extended family who you are important to. Especially the little one. .

After a year Ian has finally invited us to his home. LOL. He moved last mid July and we saw him on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. He calls maybe once a month to once every 2 months. Or when he is sick or needs help.

Who are you on facebook? Did I give you my home email address? We need to stay in touch better.

The air is on 24/7 here and I swear I started it at the end of March. LOL. I have been begging Ebeneezer for a pool but he points out all of the problems with them - the expense, the chemicals, the cleaning, on and on. Like I don't know. I had one for years. We even have an inground pool manufacturer right up the road. I know one thing. I will never buy another house that doesn't have a pool. Maybe you would like to adopt me as your 4th lab? Pant, pant. lol.

So great that you have such a close family. It's always wonderful to have a little one in the family. My dad mirrors your mom, only worse. I wrote about it in my most recent blog. He is a mess.

Will you move to Virginia? If I move it will be to Florida but hubby is 5 years younger than me so it will be a while.

Fat here too but I'm still trying, though obviously not hard enough.

Ian is doing pretty good. He works all the time and has no social life. I guess that the life of a business manager. He likes Olney and gets into Vincennes sometimes for work. He is planning another trip to Akron.

Hubby is busy as heck at work too. Got a big raise but he works hard.

I'm making changes all the time trying to get back to good health. It would help it the weather would cooperate. LOL

I'm alive. That's the extent of it. LOL. Fat as a tick and still having health problems.I went to the doctor Tuesday and he wants me on more meds. Yuck. I'm trying to do better. Move my butt more, eat less. The key to everything.

This winter was a total bummer. Worst in decades. Totally sucked and it started early and ran late so we had a month extra of winter. The flowers are finally blooming here and it helps me. I was a hermit for 4 months.

It so wonderful that you are being embraced by your nephew. He has good taste. You need him and he needs you just as much. I know you miss your son and dad. It must be really hard sometimes still.

The critters are stable. We take them for surgery intermittently. I'm glad yours are doing well.

My son is busy with work. He has come home on Thanksgivign and Christmas and will for Easter. Otherwise we don't see him and we don't hear from him a lot either. They grow up and move away and are busy with life.

Do you like Virginia and think you would like living there?

My dad is still alive but we never hear from him either.

Hugs to you too!

The storms came closer to our son than us. 2 people were killed 30 miles east of us. But we were all lucky. That was too close. I'm tired of all the bad weather.
