I CAN DO THIS

Well Ive finally decided that it is time to loose over half of myself, my biggest obstical is going to eat breakfast, as it something I dont ever remember doing. Also introducing exercise in to my everyday life will also be a challenge, I find that Im tired all the time and it seems to take a lot of effort just to walk up the stairs to my room.

My Goals:

My Program:
In order to reach my goals Ive got to learn to enjoy life, easier said than done, try to eat a breakfast which I dont ever remember doing in my life (usually I eat my first meal around noon) drink more water and less coffee, and spend more time walking or on our treadmill.

Ive got 2 beautiful daughters who give me a reason to keep going.

Other Information:
My husband died quite unexpectedly almost 7 years ago now, and my life has been a constant roller coaster - from having a child go out of control before hitting rock bottom - to worring about how bills are to be met, and somewhere I lost track of me! Im now trying to put my life to rights which is really hard as Ive neglected so much in my life. Ive also discovered that friends that I thought I had are no longer there, but I will find new ones and be better off for it. I also, recently lost my job or should I say my job lost me so that I am now unemployed, talk about adding more stress not less. But again I plan to overcome this as well, who knows, there is probably a better job ahead tor me.

Hi Sherye,
I tried this program before but I am very busy and i found i was spending an enormous amount of time trying to add all of the items in my meals to my weight loss daily Menu plan. I am very good at doing, just horrid at recording. I want so much to succeed and I will However I don't know how to squeeze that kind of time into my day. I am (per my Doctor) going to be working with a dietician/nutritionist soon. My biggest issue is that i am lactose intolerant and also have Irritable bowel syndrome so many of the things people can normally eat are off limits for me. I don't exactly know where to start so i keep putting it off.

Welcome to the 12 Weeks to Walking Team. It's a very diverse group from all over the world! Some can't walk 100 steps and some are doing 5K Walks. Look over the LINKS with the 3 levels, Best Foot Forward, Beginner and Intermediate and decide where you should begin. Print off the schedule in the level you choose and just start walking with us.

Let me give you a brief introduction to some of the more active team members. Sassy aka JACKSGRAN and MADMIRANDA are from the London area. Eliz aka NOWYOUDIDIT lives in Minnesota, has a blog about her life as a saint and is very encouraging. Stacy aka MADEIT3 is a great inspiration and motivator and she lives in rural Kansas and writes great blogs. SHAKESALOT posts beautiful photos of her walks from Virginia. Linda (me) is from Montana. IAMAGEMLOVER aka Bonnie is from Connecticut. CANADIANFROG09 aka Ane Marie and HARROWJET aka Judy and DONNELDA22 aka Donna are all 3 from Ontario, Canada. I've got a world map I just hung so I can keep track of all the places in the world we have team members walking!! STEVEN2GO2 occasionally posts from southwest PA. NZJAXX aka Jackie, posts her summer/autumn messages from New Zealand while we are suffering this long winter/spring not here yet! We'll be waiting to learn all about what you see as you walk along on this journey with us!! We want to hear all about what you see and hear where you walk. We get lots of weather reports and spring flower sightings. Those things are posted in the "Walking with Purpose" thread. Hopefully those is southern climes will warm our winter weary lives in a few months. Hope you'll join in the geography lesson!
Please let us know if there is anything at all that we can do for you! We hope you'll be active in posting and blogging. Glad to have you along on this journey! Please stop by "Introduce Yourself to the Team" thread and introduce yourself! "General Chatting" is self-explanatory! and you can check out the "Dance" thread for some funny dance videos for extra fitness for days you aren't walking...or book reviews from Steven and Stacy.
