We control how we respond to life. You choose to appreciate what you have and sail forward or you focus on what is behind and drown. I am a realist who has decided that for the rest of my journey, I am going to enjoy all the humor life has to offer. Because the world has gone nuts. I believe positive people bring a little sanity into this CRAZY world. And the only antidote for the madness, is to have some good laughs along the way.
My highest weight was 285 in 2008. The doctor told me I was prediabetic, I was starting to develop metabolic syndrome, I had reached the 3X size, and I was headed for disaster. Fear can sometimes be your friend; it scared me enough to take off 35 pounds fast...but old habits die slowly and the weight crept back. A co-worker told me about Spark People. He knew I could use some help. I joined up, started tracking, started exercising, started reading the articles, and the blogs. I was part of a community. I identified with a lot of the stories and the feelings behind them. The more involved I became, the more good habits I developed. It isn't a one size fits all world, And SparkPeople isn't a one size fits all community. You decide which path to travel. You decide how hard to work at it. You decide how much of a challenge you need and how fast to take those steps. But working together with like minds means you have the support, the encouragement, and a great source of information to get you there. There is no GIVING UP on SparkPeople; you may trip a little but the support helps get you back on track. It's just a matter of opening that window, letting in some fresh ideas, and stretching yourself. Change your mind; change your habits; change your life.

get to normal weight, ingrain a healthy lifestyle, and enjoy life in the present, get back in shape, and make as many friends as I can. Lose 5% of my weight during the SPRING 5% CHALLENGE.

goals = 1200-1500 cals, exercise plan-- Spark People Videos, Dancing, Total Gym Strength Train, walking, and cool down.....I'm really good on cooling down....I could give lessons.
Height 5'10"+ . Always struggled with weight. Escaped from NYC, hiding in Jersey. If Trump gets elected, I'll be moving to Canada. Looking for the 'perfect' man, someone who doesn't have a criminal record, doesn't talk to people who aren't there, and isn't on drugs, or make others want to take drugs, while with him. Funny how people in the movie ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOOS NEST seem so normal now.
