I've battled with my weight on & off for most of my life but have decided that I want to solve this problem once & for all!!!

I want to be slim, healthy & fit. I want to be an exercise junkie. I want to be all that I can be, and once I get there, I'm determined that i'll be on maintenance for the rest of my life. I'm going to do it right this time - with a holistic approach, & the help of this wonderfully supportive SP community!!!!!

My Goals:
Make sure my eating habits contribute to a healthy lifestyle - every day!!
Do regular daily aerobic exercise. I want to learn to LOVE exercise & do loads of it. I want to become a runner, not just a good walker!
Think positively about myself and others.
Be really happy with life!
Get down to my ideal weight of 52kg by my anniversary date @ SP!

My Program:
I joined a gym for the first time in my life in October 2006. I need to commit to going regularly 3 or 4 times a week, and make sure i get some walking in on other days.
I've just started the Couch-to-5K program to get me into the running lifestyle.
I've already changed my diet in a very positive way & am currently working on giving up the night binges. I've given up drinking alcohol except for special occasions, & I'm making a concerted effort to eat 'mindfully'.
I'm aware that what I need at this point is consistency, so staying plugged into SP on a daily basis should help me maintain my current momentum.

I''m an Aussie living in Macau, China. I teach English & have been doing so for about 18 years. In 2004-05 I was in southern China, & prior to that I lived in Hanoi, Vietnam, for 8 years.

I have one son who's in Sydney, & I have two adorable little cats to keep me company here.

Other Information:
I''m a vegetarian.

Glad to hear that you are feeling better and still around! Make sure you check in to see how everyone is doing with their running. We have to stick together :-)

I just had to stop by and say hello to a fellow "future runner". Didn't that 25 minutes feel GREAT! I'm actually looking forward to Week 7 next week. Gosh, I never thought I would actually get to WEEK 7!!! Good luck to you!!
