Some weeks I just focus on doing strength or cardio. I was stressed last week so I was using the exercise more as a distraction, especially as I wasn't sleeping very well. Not the best approach long term. Some of the stress is past and I've focused on sleep over the past few days as I really needed to catch up some. This week, it's try to find more balance in all of these areas.
I think the trick is to set some long term goals then break them down into smaller ones. If you're not making progress, focus on a particular area to see if that's where the slowdown is coming from. Then go back to a balance again. Your body gets used to things if you do them over and over so changing up a bit can keep things revved up and interesting.
Whatever you did in minutes per day last week, see if you can add 5 or 10 more per day as a challenge to yourself. Even if you don't make it every day, you'll got more in by the end of the week. I challenge you to do 5 mins more per day in strength! Let me know how it goes. Lapperoo 5 hours ago
Sending you some HUGS and ENCOURAGING words on today. Remember, if it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you. Sometimes our lives have to be completely shaken up, changed, and rearranged to relocate us to the place we're meant to be. Have a blessed and productive Spark filled day!
Back from New Zealand and trying to catch up on all the Gems' doings. What's all the music references? Rain references? Speaking of which...we had nothing but rain in NZ which brought to mind The Carpenters song....
Talkin' to myself and feelin' old Sometimes I'd like to quit Nothin' ever seems to fit Hangin' around Nothin' to do but frown Rainy days and Mondays always get me down...
however, I'm Happy, happy, happy! It's wonderfully sunny and warm here at home and I am really enjoying it.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful day. Lapperoo 20 days ago
