Happy March! Only 5 months away till my camping vacation! Which is the motivation for my new WOE (way of eating). I have been Keto since Feb. 7. Since then, I have lost a total of 33 pounds and counting. My goal is to be 199 or less by August. Mini goals that I need to accomplish is being strict with tracking my macros. Making sure I'm hitting my Fat, protein and carb percentages. To start incorporating strength training and cardio into my week. Also, need to meal prep for the week.

    Hi There Friend,

Just back from my second swim of the day. On Mon-Wed-Fri I do water aerobics at 7:30 a.m. and a stroke clinic at 1 p.m. Then on Tues-Thurs at 8 a.m. I do an hour of deep water swimming. We have a group of about 5 to 7 women of various ages and abilities. This instructor works our butts off with swimming laps, working on skills, and doing core exercises. Each are an hour long. I'm planning on swimming in the senior games in May. I set that as a goal last April when I first heard about it. The stroke coach said I will be in the games but how I will do is a question especially as I've never done any swim competitions in my life. I've had to learn the correct way to do the strokes. I never knew how much went into how you do a stroke or how you kick but I'm learning. I have to sign up this week for the Senior Games and my stroke coach told me to sign up for both 50 and 100 meters in crawl/freestyle and backstroke. I have to get my time down below 30 seconds per lap. Right now I'm about 1 min 12 secs. My first lap is 29 secs but I lose time on the turn and returning down the lane. My backstroke was actually faster today than my freestyle.

You asked if I make jewelry--I do. I make both costume and fine jewelry and work in fine silver, sterling silver, copper and brass, and have started working in gold. My class this past weekend was in Tampa, FL area and focused on fusing gold onto silver. I learned a few new techniques in applying and firing it that I think work better for me than the ones I've previously been taught. I have posted on my SparkPage Photos some of my work and I have a website (needs a lot of work and updating) where clients can get an idea of some of the things I can do. I also hope to also enter the Senior Silver Arts competition this spring.

My husband has recently sold his medical practice but is continuing on part time for about 4 months to help the new doctor learn some nuances of treating CFS/FM and to help transition patients to the new doctor. With that sale came the loss of my job but I'm still up to my eyeballs in paperwork. Will probably have another month or two of work closing up things, disposing of files I no longer need, etc. It has been pretty stressful in closing down as nothing has remained as I had always done and there are all these things to be done by specified dates. The good news so far is that we are eating dinner at 6:30 p.m. instead of coming home at 8 or 9 p.m. to fix dinner.

When you have a chance, check out my jewelry website: and let me know what you think.

    Have a great day.
