I'z Ready for change

Muslim woman, wife, mother treading a path of change by replacing old habits with new ones.

When i converted to Islam i weighed 127lbs alhamdulillah (praise God). I stayed fit by walking every where! After my conversion i became a homemaker and that's when the weight started to pile on. My husband told me that before I started having kids I should try to lose the 40lbs I gained, so I lost 10 and then I got pregnant. Now I'm 62lbs over weight! I have been struggling with my weight ...

On the authority of Al-Miqdaam ibn Maadiy-Karib who said: I heard the Messenger of Allaah saying: No human ever filled a vessel worse than the stomach. Sufficient for any son of Aadam are some morsels to keep his back straight. But if it must be, then one third for his food, one third for his drink and one third for his breath. [Ahmad, At-Tirmidhee, An-Nasaa'ee, Ibn Maajah - hadeeth saheeh.]
