I am a Strongman competitor training for nationals. I'm working on getting heavy things overhead, carrying heavy things 50 feet, lifting a car, and putting stones kegs over a bar. It's hard work and tons of fun!

For my previous competition, I didn't have to worry about my weight. I unexpectedly qualified for nationals and after looking at the event weights, found that I would not be able to accomplish any of the lifts in the heavyweight class. So, after talking to my coaches, I'm going to cut 15 pounds and compete in the middleweight competition! I hired a nutritionist to help me do it safely and effectively.

I will be participating in the Fall 5% challenge as well! Start date is still to be announced, but as it gets rolling you'll see me active in that group!

Current Status:
SILLY7734 I placed 3rd at my Stongman competition and qualified for nationals!!!! Now I have to cut 15 pounds to make weight. I hired a nutritionist to help....here we go!

My Goals:
I am training for the North American Strongman 2014 Nationals, Women's Middleweight Division (140.4-180.4 pounds).

Fall 5% Challenge Exercise Commitment:
- 100% compliance on my Strongman training plan (more detail when he gives it to me)

My Program:
I do CrossFit 3-4x a week, Strongman training 1-2x a week, and I aim to get 10k steps a day. I occasionally do acroyoga as well. I use my bike to commute semi-regularly.

I use the Fitbit calorie calculator to determine my daily total, but even when it says I can go higher, I generally try to stay below 2000 calories.

Hi thanks for the comment on my blog. I don't know if I would be able to handle all of those body cravings/moodiness/changes! If it did help me towards the end, then maybe it would be worth it, but it still seems like a really stressful situation. My boyfriend would probably hate me!

Hi Silly! Thanks for commenting on my blog! I actually had the Flex last year for about 6 months (until it broke...bummer) and never had a single problem. But I still think I'm over the wrist-band type. Lots of people have recommended the One, though, so I think I'll try that. Worse case scenario I can always go back to the Flex once I get my refund from FitBit :) Thanks again!
