Saving Myself by 40

You need to know I'm not here to lose weight. I'm here to save myself. My body is my soul's car, and I've neglected the maintenance for over 30 years. I don't know what can be done to save her, but I'm determined to help her with the best care I can.

If that involves losing weight as a tertiary effect, then it does. Numbers do not define me; my actions define me.

You really seem to have this figured out! And we do have rather similar goals I think. It is impressive and inspiring at the same time. I have been wanting to quit so bad, but keep finding that it's easier not to, but your attitude towards it seems to make it seem like it's no problem to trade a bad habit with a good one. It's refreshing to hear all of this come from an actual person who has smoked and knows the challenges as opposed to someone who never has before! Thank you and keep up the awesome job! And welcome to Spark People!
