My Goals:
To eat healthier, break my addiction to sugar and drive-thru eating, and to lose weight.

To be able to walk a 5K again.

To find joy and gratitude in each day.

To be fit and fabulous by the time I am able to retire!

My Program:
Track my food daily and stay within my allotted SparkPoints.

Cook more meals at home instead of relying on eating out.

Move a little bit more than the day before and track steps on my pedometer.

Favorite Activities: walking outdoors, Leslie Sansone DVD's, Wii Fit Plus (especially Island Cycling, my fave!), Peggy Cappy's "Yoga for the Rest of Us" DVD's.

Read something inspirational, motivational, or educational each day.

Keep Gratitude Journal.

Make it a point to accept more invitations and stay connected with family and friends.

Get at least 7-8 hours of sleep each night.

Personal Information:
I am a 61-year-old mother and grandmother, working full-time as office manager for a psychiatrist, a clinical psychologist, and a sport/performance psychologist. I have published one novel (out of print) and am trying to decide whether to Kindle-ize it. I am a vegetarian.

Just checking in on you. I am having a good day 2 and making good choices. Terry is off tomorrow an Monday. When he is home is when I tend to crack, so I will try and keep the good attitude going.

I had a good day. I am at the low end of my calorie range, and I just got back from a 25 minute walk. I sure have lost ground in my walking since last summer. I was huffing and puffing. But it felt good to be out.

Again, thanks for your encouraging words. I'm sure you know when we say, we are going to "let go and let God", then you back off somewhat, it makes you feel guilty. But I know from my Weigh Down days years ago, once I let God, I went to Weight Watchers and did so much better. I would tell you or anyone that God can use any kind of tools to help us. I appreciate you telling me that maybe tracking is part of my treatment. That made me feel so much better. I think I will be able to track now today without guilt. See God put you over here at the right time.

Hey there! Thanks again for stopping by my blog. I think we have a lot in common when it comes to why we eat and how it makes us feel. "Bondage" is such a good word on how I feel now. Dieting has become who I am and it isn't what I want to be. Not to long ago, I was thinking about trying "The Fast Diet", that was all over tv. A little later someone asked their husband, what is it you love about me today. Terry giggled and said, You starting a new diet. He was teasing, but it is so true. I think every one sees me as The Professional Dieter. Ugh!

I am so ready to let God take over, and I feel His quiet voice leading me. Then why am I so fearful of letting go of the diet world?
