Sister Sissy

My name is Dawn, but in my family I was called Sissy. Because all the "Sissy" names I wanted were already taken, I ended up admitting to my date of birth in my name. Ah well, age comes to us all! And at this point turning 65 soon has some real tangible benefits!

My Goals:
To lose 50 lbs, and be healthier because of regular exercise.

My Program:
Summer 5%:
Minimum Exercise of some sort for 15 minutes each day.

Personal Information:
I am originally from the US, currently living in Canada on the west coast. I am Franciscan Poor Clare Sister. I had a left knee replacement 6 years ago and waiting for a replacement for the other knee. These metal parts DO NOT make me function (or look) like the old Bionic Woman! At this point the exercise I can do, and mobility I have is limited. I am limited to walking, riding a bike and swimming, so I do have options. I was an Air Traffic Controller in the US Navy until 1981 when I joined the Poor Clares. I am an avid reader, love to cook and bake, as well as enjoy different types of crafts.

Other Information:
Lost 35 lbs the first year I joined, but have put it back on. Must start again!

emoticon so much for the kudos on my blog. I so appreciate it. I've been working hard at trying to manage so very many food events over this Challenge and it's meant a lot of food sacrifices.

emoticon to you also on this week's weight loss. It does feel so good to keep moving the scale needle in the right direction!

So....onto Bermuda now. We are in the home stretch. Let's make this week's trip our most emoticon ever! emoticon emoticon

Hi Dawn
I have been thinking about you and wondering how this challenge has been going for you? I have not done that well, I have not been tracking on here as I had planned. Hope that all is going well with you emoticon
