Under Reconstruction

When I was in my 20's I weighed 165 and thought I was fat.

When I was in my 30s I weighed 185 and thought I was fat.
I looked at old pictures of myself and thought "wow, I really looked great back when I was in my 20s!"

Now I am in my 40s and weigh 220, and think I am fat. I look at old pictures of myself and think "wow, I really looked great back when I was in my 30's. Why didn't I appreciate what I had?"

Ten years from now, I don't want to be weighing 250, and wishing I appreciated what I had in my 40's. I want to appreciate it now! I have the body I was given and just this one precious life. Time to make the most of it!

Thank you for your service! My wife was an AF Capt, & I had a Joint Services staff with mostly AF personnel! We're definitely an AF family!

Yeah, I always say I did 24 years hardtime in the Pentagon AFTER 8 years active! I'd rather have done a 70.3!

Thanks for coming to my blog! It is awesome to hear about someone else who has had the same experience in the money versus quality of life debate. I am trying to spread the word to help others feel empowered to make these changes. Keep up the good work, I can't wait to see what's ahead for both of us!!! emoticon

Best Wishes for 2015.

Yes, I am doing the Kirkland 12Ks of Christmas! It is my first time to run it. My co-worker has done it several years and now another workout buddy here at work also signed up! I'm building my base and my overall fitness level back up after a lot of travelling June-Oct! Have you done this run event before?
