I'm Susan - a wife, mother of three, grandmother, and ready to be fit! I live out in the country with my husband, dog, cat, and two horses, and enjoy gardening, riding and walking. It's time to make my health a priority!
"You don't get what you want, you get what you work for." It's time to do the work!
Quit hovering in one place, and start hoofing it! After maintaining my weight loss between 25-30 pounds for over a year, it's high time to get more off.
Short term goals:
Lose 5% of my weight in the Fall Challenge.
Long Term goal:
Weigh less than 180, which will put me in the "overweight" vs. "obese" category on the BMI chart.
Focusing on lots of vegetables, fruits, low fat proteins, whole and complex grains and little to no sugar. My exercise program includes treadmill workouts, exercise videos, beginning strength training (besides lifting 50 pound bags of feed and my 35 pound grandson) gardening, and horses (care and riding).
I have lived in beautiful North Georgia since I was a teenager. My husband, Steve, and I live on 20 rural acres where I am blessed to be able to do the things I love - garden, have horses, walk and enjoy the country!
We have raised two daughters and one son, all who still live fairly close by. Now that I am retired, I can spend more time with my grandson.
