This year is the year for me to take control

I am a special ed teacher, mother of one and a grandmother to a beautiful little granddaughter. I previously lost 156 pounds and maintained for about a year-than I stopped working out and put about 50 pounds back on. At the end of January 2008, I deceided I MUST get back on track, I began eating healty and joined a gym. I am determined to get back on track, drop this extra weight and live a long healthy life, so I can be around to dance at my granddaughters wedding. So far, I am down ...

I previously lost 156 pounds and maintained for about a year-than I stopped working out and put about 50 pounds back on. At the end of January 2008, I deceided I MUST get back on track, I began eating healty and joined a gym. I am determined to get back on track, drop this extra weight and live a long healthy life, so I can be around to dance at my granddaughters wedding. So far, I am down almost forty pounds, 39 inches, and four sizes, my goal is to get down to 140 or to fit into a size 6-presently I am in an 8. I workout at least five but usally six days a week and try to find something active to do on the other days.

My Goals:
My plan is to get into my size 6 jeans and whatever I weigh at that point I will call goal. I am not so concerned with the numbers on the scale as I am with loss of inches and feeling fit

My Program:
I am working out five to six times a week-I have a Curves membership and use my own weights at home three times a week.


Personal Information:
I am a special ed teacher in South Kingstown RI and work with severely disabled students-have been doing this for over 25 years and still love my job.

Thanks for the jeans. I have never worn jeans before. I wear slacks but never jeans. That will be a goal I set for myself.

Welcome to the age is just a number team. You can do this. What a great thing to be...a special ed teacher. I have a niece who has downs syndrome. I don't get to see her very often because I live in Illinois and she lives in California but she is a delight. She is so funny and full of surprises.
Our team is for those who won't give up...no matter the weight gain, disability or illness. I have been a yoyo for a lot of years but not anymore. Well I shouldn't say that I have gained weigt because of the steroids I take before and during my chemo. I am going to kick those pounds down! We hope to get to know you in the team. The chat room is where we all meet and talk. If you have any questions...just ask and I will try to answer them.
