Goal = Health!

I was always the "skinny" girl growing up. Until somewhere in my late 30's when the weight started creeping on and I couldn't seem to lose it. After years of fighting to lose weight and slowly gaining instead, I've finally been diagnosed with hypothyroidism. So I'm here to help me get back to a healthy weight and also to establish good habits for the rest of my life.

I don't need to be the "skinny" girl anymore, but I do want to be the healthy one. I've developed a passion for riding, and now I want to be healthy to enjoy a nice long life and spend more time behind the handlebars.

My dream is to retire and tour the country on the back of a Harley, and that's not going to happen if I don't work on getting healthy now.

I'm going to order this book. It's similar to what I'm doing but will give me
a road map. Congrats on your progress.
(UPDATE - I just ordered the book and the
accompanying cookbook. Appreciate
that you mentioned it.) Big hug.

Hi there. Yes, I do leave the inner most husks on and pull them back up. I also take a strip of the softer leaves and tie around the ear to keep the husks in place (and it looks pretty!). And I am still a tad embarrassed I forgot people use butter on corn on the cob. Isn't that like an All American thing??? LOL ...
