Maintaining 80 Pound Loss

I'm 80+ lbs below my all time high and I've lost over 50 pounds since Dec. 2008. In 2009 I achieved a healthy BMI 25. Then with SparkPeople I was able to achieve BMI 21, a weight I always wanted!

Wow, that's a lot of words already. I so encourage you to revise and organize your work and share it somehow. If Mitchell's memoir motivates--and it is nicely done--all the better. But your story is your story and I bet it is a good one we can all learn from!

Thanks for reading my blog too (-:

Thanks for the blog support. And the good reminder.

Yes we can do this. I have to up it to I will do this. One step at a time. I binged again last night. Not as bad by far as I am capable of doing. The checklist is working for me. I have the Beck fever again and I can see my own risky behaviors and I do know there is a way out or around my own sabotaging thoughts. You are so right. I can do this. I have tools to help. And pals like you. Thanks

emoticon Thanks so much for asking about my 11 mile long slow distance run. I made it but was high all the way. High blood sugar, no drugs! I thought if I ate breakfast and didn't take insulin I could run on the carbos I got from that but I was delayed starting and once I was in the 300s, I didn't come down.

Your nephews idea of raisins sounds really good. Raisins are super potent and the chewing spaces out the sugar. In the past, I've brought a hand-held water bottle filled with tangerine juice supplemented with sugar in the raw. Sipping that usually works. I've been thinking about putting a little soy protein in there, too.

My water bottle has gone missing so I ordered a new one. Should be here well before my next long run.

What do you think of moving up to 12.5 miles for the next long one and then 14 after that? I do 6 or so miles between the long ones. There are only two more long runs followed by a six-miler before the half marathon.

Still haven't registered but need to decide by tomorrow. It starts getting tricky in the double digit miles...

It's a re-work of a Zig Ziglar quote from a page a day Spark Calendar (2012)! It's one of those that I kept pages and posted them on the 'fridge or pinned them up on my cubicle walls at work! Didn't have the page in front of me at the time, and didn't want to attribute it incorrectly!
