Equipped to Succeed Long Term with SparkPeople!

I'm 80+ lbs below my all time high and I've lost over 50 pounds since Dec. 2008. In 2009 I achieved a healthy BMI 25. However, with SparkPeople I was able to achieve the weight I've always wanted, around BMI 21.

Your story was part of my selections today on the start page. I read your story and was inspired. I'm on day 42 of my journey. Someday I'd like to share my own story. I watch my granddaughter now. emoticon I never thought a person my age would be able to run. Something to try when I get a bunch closer to goals for weight and fitness.

Hi Marsha
I just read about your very inspiring fitness journey in your Spark success article. I've been dithering about getting a Spark pedometer and your blog has convinced me to go ahead. I, too, am in my 60's and am doing well on the nutrition side of things, but really need something to motivate me to MOVE!
emoticon Thanks for giving me that extra nudge I needed. Spark on!

Appreciate every single thing you have, especially your friends!

Life is too short and friends are too few!

Have a wonderful Tuesday.

Thought of you being in Nashville while watching UConn ending up slamming Stanford. Were you at that game or will you just be at Tuesday's game. I knew it would be Notre Dame and UConn. See my blog for my prediction. I told my Mom that you would see the game in person and she said lucky you. I don't envy you. I kept changing the channel back to Long Island Medium last night because I can't take the tension. I was very tense when they were down by 6.

Yup, "living on a shoestring" AND "shoestring potatoes": but, never applied to actual shoe laces!!
