Join me on an extraordinary journey to lose 126 pounds (half my current weight). I am so tired of being tired and sluggish all day, everyday and have finally set some very BIG goals for myself.

My Goals:
I have set several goals for the next year for myself. Here they are:
1. I will eat healthy (without giving up things I can't live without forever)

2. Learn to be a runner (I've always wanted to run, but have always been too overweight)

3. Run a 5k (then I want to do a mini marathon, then a full marathon-but I'm leaving it at a 5k for now)

4. Lose 126 lbs. (that is exactly half of my current weight)


My Program:
I am using Spark People to figure out the nutritional content of my food, using a great app called "My Net Diary" to track the food I eat (I find I am much more accurate with my food tracking when I can enter it at each meal, I tend to forget some foods when I have to wait until I can get back to my computer), I love the motivation and inspiration I find on the SP forums so I spend about an hour each day reading & making posts, and I am walking 2-3 miles at least 5 days a week.



Personal Information:
I am 46 years old, I live in Kentucky with my husband, Danny, and my two beautiful teenage daughters, Emily & Sarah. I have been overweight for as long as I can remember and have tried every diet and weightloss gimmick out there (with the exception of surgery). I AM the definition of insanity--I keep doing the same things over and over and hoping for a different result. I somehow have found the determination and am finally going to do it the RIGHT way. I am so glad I found Spark People and the support and inspiration available here.
