Well I've been around for 3 years now. The initial 20 lbs. are off again. Way back in the beginning: The harder I tried the more challenges I faced- I have persevered despite no losses showing on the scale and learned to see other measures of my success. Being diabetic, my blood sugar is a major indicator of successful results. When I started on SP, my bs were in the 13-15 range for early a.m, now I have my AIC go down to 6.9, and I'm still here and getting motivated again. So, there are successes other than on the scale.

Thanks for the proofreading offer--didn't see it in time LOL I was synthesising two articles on teaching writing using picture books as mentor texts. I am studying for my second master's. It's in Curriculum and Instructional Strategies and all online. I love to learn!

We checked into home care workers for Mom - one that doesn't know much would be about $25.00 an hour and they charge a minimum of an hour even if they are there for a half hour. Senior Apartments sounded good, but then we realized there is no one there to help if they need it. She'd still be on her own. Next step is assisted living. Some are way out of the ballpark: $4000 and up a month. We found one that's really cute but would run $2575 a month. It does include cleaning the apartment, all meals, giving her the meds she needs. I think my dear sis has been talking to her because now she's unsure if she wants to go there. Can't win for trying. I'll move in next week.

Thanks for commenting on my blog! I am a little slow commenting back these days, what with having to go to the hospital daily, etc.
I did think of you today at lunch. do you like lobster ? I know you can get lots there. Had a subway lobster sandwich - it was expensive but yummy. I expected lobster flavoured mayonnaise but it was wonderful fresh pieces of lobster. Mmmm a treat!
