April 2010 Update:
So I've found that winter just kills my motivation and good habits. I need to get back into the swing of things now that it is no longer cold. And then work on making those good habits permanent enough to last through next winter. Good luck to me!

I'm typically not one to obsess over weight, but I want to be healthy, and apparently a waist size, as apposed to actual weight, is a better indicator of health. And 155 pounds at only 5 feet tall looks kind of stumpy, lol. Unfortunately I lack motivation, partially because I think I'm not that overweight, and partially because I'm embarrased bacause I know there are many people looking to lose alot of weight who would look at me and say "why do YOU need to lose weight?" I think it's sad that I'm more self consious about wanting to lose weight than about how much I weigh. So I just need to remember that my motivation, and my reason for doing this, is to be healthy, not skinny.

I finally put a "Before" pic up. I figure it's easy to avoid looking in the mirror but if you know there is a fat pic of you up for the whole world to see it should motivate you to get your butt into gear and lose those pounds. "After" pics to come soon, hopefully.

My Program:
I am trying very hard to get a regular exercise routine. Before the 2013 holidays I was using the Zombies! Run 5K training app pretty regularly. Now that the holidays are over I need to get back into the routine and add in some strength training and cross training. No excuses, just do it. I am also trying to cut out the junk and eat healthier, more fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean protien, etc.

My name is Rachel, I'm 29 and I'm in the Douglas/Paulding area. I'm just shy of 5'1". I'm married. I have a beautiful German Shepherd/Husky named Captain and a white german shepherd named Yuki. I love the out doors. I tend to be shy at first but I love meeting new people and warm up to them quickly. I like to sing and be creative. Good luck! I'm job hunting too...so no fun! Because of the major budget cuts to education, my job for next year is not secure. Boo! Way to go on the weight loss too! I'm stuck at 132, so you're totally gonna beat me to 125!

Containers are GREAT ways to garden. Thanks for commenting on my page. I found a place that give free ideas. I just googled container gardening and liked some of the free ideas - thought I'd share them with you. Hey I'd love to go buy 1 tomato plant right now and put it in a container indoors, and by June have fresh tomatoes - its like defying Mother Nature in WInter. lol
