Hello!

I'm Sarah, I'm 33 and live in Edinburgh, Scotland, my home for 6 years. Home involves a bright old tennement flat, a time-shared cat called Omar, a rented field on which I grow lots of veggies, my statistics job with the Scottish Government, Friends and lots of hobbies.
Before Edinburgh, home has been in Greece, Germany, India, Cambridge UK, Tokyo and St Andrews, Scotland. Things I do at some point during the year are sailing, volunteering with Ocean Youth Trust Scotland, potting, ...

Before Edinburgh, home has been in Greece, Germany, India, Cambridge UK, Tokyo and St Andrews, Scotland. Things I do at some point during the year are sailing, volunteering with Ocean Youth Trust Scotland, potting, knitting, meeting with Quakers, gardening, travelling and hill walking.

I'm on my way from 31 to 23 on the BMI scale (for what it's worth), and am enjoying the ride. I survived the Glasgow half marathon in October, and am now cycling one hour each day to and from work. So I will set some milestones with rewards (see blog) am sticking to my weekly workouts and am tracking 1400-1600kcal per day. And that's what I'll flow with for a while.

My Goals:
Undo 3 years of harm and get to my normal BMI, into my corduroys, and back to physical strength and stamina. Oh, and look good in clothes. And maybe even a swimsuit.

My Program:
Eat well, nutritious rather than calorific nourishment, not too much, mostly plants, mostly local or home grown.

Move with purpose, 3 times a week in the gym.

Yes, the total has been corrected. Diane, DIANEDOESSMILES, is the challenge leader and is responsible for checking on the thread. Next time you see an error, probably best to send her Spark Mail. But I'm sure she checks it regularly. WTG on getting in those air miles!

HI Sarah !! Like Lynn (Kaliswalker) I am EXCITED to have you on the 5% challenge. She's on another team in which we ARE COMPETING AGAINST !! WOOHOOOOOOO !! how do we WIN against those 10 teams? EASY !! We keep track of our fitness mins a day and report them AT ONCE to the teams page under the Travel Forum (It says Week 1, Week 2 or Challenge 1, 2 and so on).

We are EXCITED to have you with us. I've just read ur page,,, for if I DO NOT read the Dawggies pages,, how can I encourage you? LOVE the sailing,, and ALL the traveling you are doing. I'll do my BEST to have the challenge UP EARLY since you live in Scotland,, and are WAY ahead of us on in the States. :) I'll do my BEST to post it on Thurs,,, if it's available,,,,now and then it's not,,,for I WANT you to TOTALLY SUCCEED !!
